Google (CC is the short form of “closed captions”. Closed captions are same-language text displayed on a television, video screen or other visual display to provide additional or interpretive information to individuals who wish to access it. They are often also used for other purposes, like when a user simply wants to watch a video without audio or where it’s difficult to decipher, or for improving comprehension of content like educational videos.
